Asif Ali: The Rise of the Unconventional Star

asif ali 200x300 Asif Ali: The Rise of the Unconventional Star

Asif Ali is probably one of those heroes who have had the quietest debut ever. The young actor who was seen in Shyamaprasad’s ‘Rithu’ in 2009 however, has never turned back since.

Films like ‘Katha Thudarunnu’, ‘Apoorva Ragam’, ‘Best of Luck’, ‘Traffic’ and ‘Ithu Nammude Katha’ followed. Of these films ‘Best of Luck’ and ’Ithu Nammude Katha’ were downers at the box office, and even in these films Asif has been able to hold his head high.

Asif’s choice of films is quite judicious, and one only has to take a look at his upcoming films to see what we are talking about. His next release in all probability would be Aashiq Abu’s ‘Salt ‘n Pepper’, and Joshey’s ‘Sevens’ would soon follow.  There is Siby Malayil’s ‘Violin’ that is complete as well. And the actor is busy shooting for A K Sajan’s ‘Asuravithu’ that is reportedly a sequel to the director’s own film ‘Stop Violence’.

With his highly unconventional looks, Asif has always banked on his inherent charm and tremendous potential to make sure that whatever he does on screen leaves an impact. The youngster has been tremendously successful in doing so till now, and from the looks of it, seems all set to be soaring towards stardom.
