I’m a Good Cook Myself: Baburaj
Actor Baburaj has been around for quite a while in the Malayalam film industry, but Aashiq Abu’s super hit film ‘Salt ‘n Pepper’ has given him a new life of sorts. People have fallen in love with the adorable cook in the film, who amiably goes shopping and doesn’t forget to order two Radhas soaps along with onions and the spices.
Baburaj, who is currently basking in the glory that Salt ‘n Pepper has brought his way, has revealed that he is a good cook himself. He is well versed in cooking up Kerala as well as Chinese dishes. Talking to a prominent Malayalam fortnightly, Baburaj says that his wife Vani Viswanath had developed an affinity towards him courtesy his culinary talents.
Baburaj confesses that his specialty however, is a mutton curry that is available at the Central Jail, once a week. While working at the Appeal Section, he had got pally with the cooks at the jail, who had told him the recipe. He says that his special mutton curry is a huge hit at family and friends’ gatherings.
Baburaj who has also directed two films – ‘Black Dahlia’ and ‘Manushya Mrugam’ – is married to actor Vani Viswanath. The couple has two children; Archa and Adri. He is a lawyer by profession, and has also produced a few films.
