Jayaram to be a Swapnasanchari for Kamal

We love the title of Kamal’s new film – ‘Swapnasanchari’. The film would have Jayaram doing the title role, and it would also mark the coming together of Kamala and Jayaram after a very long gap of more than a decade. The last time the diretor and actor had worked together was for ‘Kaikudanna Nilaavu’ in 1998.

Jayaram would play the role of a Gulf Malayalee in the film. Samvrutha Sunil is the heroine. K Giressh Kumar, who had scripted the super successful Jayaram film ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya’ would script ‘Swapnasanchari’. It should be remembered that ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya’ had almost relaunched Jayaram in the Malayalam film industry.

‘Swapnasanchari’ would be produced by Thankachan Emmauel under the banner of Trueline Cinema, after ‘Katha Thudarunnu’, the Sathyan Anthikkad film. The cinematography is by Azhakappan. The shooting of the film is currently under progress at Thodupuzha. Kamal’s last film ‘Gadhhama’ was a critical success and the director had received many accolades for his film that portrayed the trauma that some Indian housemaids go through in Arab countries. The film had received some brickbats too from a few quarters.
