She says she wanted people to watch her film, and has made use of her own website to meet this end.

The film has won several awards in film festivals across the world. It received the Hubert Bals Fund for Script and Project Development at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, the Golden Lamp Tree Award for Best International Short Film and Best Director in the non-feature film category at the International Film Festival of India, Best International Short Film Award at the 3rd International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala and the Critics Award for the Best Short Film (Kerala State) to mention a few.

The website www.geetumohandas.com also invites inspiring writers to submit their scripts, and Geetu says after a reviewing process, the writers of approved scripts would be contacted. Quite an innovative venture indeed!
