I Knew I’d Reach Here Some Day: Amala Paul
Gorgeous Amala Paul who made a silent debut through an antsy-bitsy role in Lal Jose’s ‘Neelathamara’ a couple of years back, is one of the most wanted actresses in the South Indian film industry today. Amala says confidently that she always knew that she would reach where she is today, through hard work and determination.
Amala considers Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai as her idols, and says she would work towards developing an identity of her own like her favorite artistes. She also hopes that she would get to work with the giants of South Indian cinema like Shankar and Maniratnam.
Though Amala has been offered a few lucrative roles in Malayalam, she hasn’t been able to say ‘Yes’ (no) thanks to her previous commitments. She says she regrets having lost out on the opportunity to work with Ranjith in ‘Indian Rupee’ and also with Shyamaprasad in his new film. However, she would be seen along side Prithvi and Indrajith in Dr. Biju’s new film ‘Aakashathinte Niram’.
Amala has her pretty hands full with several projects in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The ‘Mynaa’ girl is also busy pursuing her studies and is a third year graduation student at St.Theresa’s College, Cochin.
