3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy, promoted as “the world’s first IMAX 3-D erotic film” would arrive in theaters on the 14th of April, 2011. 3D Sex and Zen is according to the makers, an adaptation of the classical novel ‘The Carnal Prayer Mat’ that depicts the variant sexual exploits of a young Ming Dynasty scholar by the name, Wei Yangsheng.

The film has been produced by Stephen Shiu, the executive producer of its predecessor film Sex and Zen.

The film would soon be released all over the world, starting off with Hong Kong, and moving to South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, Russia, Italy, France and Peru.
