Jeeva Set to Scale Further Heights with Rowthiram

Rowthiram  is a Tamil action film written and directed by newcomer Gokul. Produced by R. B. Choudary, the film stars his son Jeeva and Shriya Saran in lead roles with Prakash Raj and Jayaprakash appearing in supporting roles.

Jeeva reportedly plays the lead role of an ordinary youngster awaiting job in Southern Railways. Shriya plays his love interest.The trailer of the film has been much praised for the kind of energy that it dsplayed as well as for the awesome cinematography by Shanmugasundaram.

The film’s shooting was held in various places in Tamil Nadu. The team had canned some scenes in the temple town Villianur. The soundtrack has been composed by Prakash Nikki. It was released on 18 July 2011 at Hotel Green Park in Chennai.

Jeeva meanwhile has just had one of the biggest hits in his career with the K V Anand directed Ko. Rowthiram is expected to let the actor scale greater heights. The film reportedly probes into some very pertinent social issues. It is slated for a release on the 14th of October 2011.
