‘Mappilai’ Review Aggregator

Submitted by on April 11, 2011 – 3:41 amNo Comment |

Dhanush seems to have run out of luck this time. From the reviews, it seems like his latest release ‘Mappilai’, might not repeat the original magic!

Nowrunning:

Mappillai is the perfect example of people selling themselves cheap for a lot of money. Dhanush barely does any acting, Hansika Motwani lacks sex appeal, Vivek hits a new low at mental retardation and Manisha Koirala fools herself into thinking that she’s playing the most iconic character in the history of cinema.

Rediff:

Once again, the movie belongs to Dhanush alone; he smirks, dances, fights, crows and throws around punches and dialogues. His body language and complete ease rattling off trite words is one reason for why you’re able to sit through the movie.

Tamilnow:

Almost every aspect both – narrative and technical aspect is below average. On the whole, Mappillai isn’t a worth watchable film.
