Poraali (2011) Review Aggregator

Poraali that marks the coming together of Samuthirakani and Sasikumar has been released. The expectations that had been raised by the film are quite high, and does the film live up to them? Quite, seems the answer.

Rediff feels that the film is worth a watch: “Samuthirakani’s Poraali traverses a familiar path and though there are plotholes, takes you to the finishing point. The film is almost like two different films linked by an intermission; so different are the stories and locations occupied by both.”

Sify terms it above average: “The Sasikumar- Samuthirakani combination is back with Poraali. Their aim seems to be making Sasi a commercial action hero, and it has succeeded to a large extent. On the whole, Poraali has its heart in the right place, and Sasikumar’s charismatic, alluring appeal lifts this film considerably.”

Kolly Insider says that the magic has worked again in Poraali: “Sasikumar and Samuthirakani have delivered it once again. The duo which swept away the audience with their 2009 blockbuster Nadodigal has once again proven that they are worth of bringing the audience to the movie halls. Swathy has made her comeback through Porali.”
