Deiva Thirumagan slated for a June 2011 release

Deiva Thirumagan, the Tamil film that has been written and directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Mohan Natarajan, has Vikram playing the lead role. The film that is expected to be a milestone in Vikram’s career, would have the actor playing the role of a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five-year-old boy.

Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul, Nassar, Santhanam, M. S. Bhaskar, Krishna Kumar, Y. Gee. Mahendra, Pandi and Karthik Kumar will portray other pivotal roles. G. V. Prakash Kumar is the music composer, while Nirav Shah is the cinematographer and Anthony is the man who has done the editing.

The film was shot on locations at Ooty and some scenes were also shot within Chennai. By February 2011 the shooting of the film was completed.The teaser trailer of the film was recently released at a press conference and has already set the expectations rocketing to the skies. The film is expected to release on June 3, 2011.
