Bubble Gum (2011) Review Aggregator

Submitted by on July 30, 2011 – 12:02 amNo Comment | 27 views

Bubble Gum that has arrived this Friday, without as much as a whimper seems like a winner all the way. The film has critics gushing all over it!

The Times of India has some real good things to say about this gum: “Bubble Gum may not score high on the entertainment quotient and is definitely not meant for the popcorn guzzlers. But the film has a piquant charm to it, spilling over with mood, sentiment and message. Add to this, the life-like performances by almost all the actors, including the two teen actors, and you have a film that offers a satisfying experience.”

This is what Indiaglitz has in mind: ‘The director’s vision is clear, simple and realistic blended with sense and sensibility. It identifies with the teenage in you where Vedant takes you along with his mood swings and you agree with the necessity of treating teenage children as friends. Dialogues are basic and simple.”

And Rediff thinks of it as a sweet tale: “What makes Bubblegum an entertaining watch is the absolutely realistic & mature treatment to adolescent issues generally discarded as frivolous. Also it doesn’t become a victim of Bollywood’s fast and fabricated version of teenage crisis.”
