Badhrinaath, the Telugu action film that has been directed by V.V. Vinayak and produced by Allu Aravind released today. The film stars Allu Arjun, Tamannaah Bhatia and Prakash Raj in lead roles. The film has simultaneously in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil, but the critics sound far from pleased!

Rediff says the film doesn’t impress: “Allu Aravind can take pride in the lavish production and high technical standards. But the plot lacks originality. The love story is unconvincing and director Vinayak has allowed the action, cinematography, and other aspects to overshadow the romance so that by the second half, much of our interest has waned.”

123Telugu says the film misses it mark: “ The entire second half is a wash out. Characters come and go without any logical connection to the story. While making Badrinath, V V Vinayak has taken up a medley of human emotions like faith, love, jealousy, and mixed it up with sensational news items like terrorism and religion. In the process he has served up stale cinematic fare.”

Teluguwave minces no words: “Say you pay someone a lot of money to cook you a dish and ‘the someone’ messes it up,badly. You cannot pretend to like it and eat the entire dish and also smile at ‘the someone’ in approval.Respect yourself and your money. Pay for intelligence and art, not for some dude whoseonly idea of a big budget film is bringing in innumerable cars, choppers and goons.”
