Bhaktha Janangalude Sraddhaku (2011) Review Aggregator

MF 300x176 Bhaktha Janangalude Sraddhaku (2011) Review AggregatorPriyanandanan, the director who gave us films as ‘Neythukaran’ and ‘Sufi Paranja Katha’ is now back with his new film ‘Bhaktha Janangalude Sraddhaku’, that stars Kavya Madhavan and Irshad doing the key roles. From the critic opinions, it seems that this might be an interesting film.

Nowrunning says that it’s a cautionary tale, told well: “‘Bhakthajanangalude Sraddhakku’ offers a word of caution against rash judgments, and is more concerned about individual perceptions than about faith itself, as an entity. For the most part, it’s unassuming and honest, and even when it gives in to a few cinematic obligations, it remains a deeply humane and compassionate film.”

Sify thinks it’s meaningful cinema: “Director Priyanandanan’s latest offering Bhaktajanangalude Sradhaykku is a highly genuine film, which is honest and topical. Even as it is handling a sensitive subject, it never really moves out of the emotional track which is perhaps the main focus as well. For all those who were waiting for meaningful cinema, this one is certainly worth a watch.”

Priyanandanan seems to have crossed half way between commercial and art cinema with his latest film. The fact that he has adopted a very contemporary theme for the film seems to have added to its appeal. It should also be noted that the film is based on a story by ace director Ranjith.
