Is T V Chandran’s ‘Shankaranum Mohananum’ a comedy?
There has been much discussion about the much publicized entry of director TV Chandran into the commercial film arena, through his latest film ‘Chankaranaum Mohananum’. The film, insiders say, is a comedy, and would in all probability strike a chord with the viewers.

The film has Jayasurya making an appearance in reportedly around twenty getups, and has two heroines – Reema Kallingal and Meera Nandan. The film is about the strange incidents faced by Mohanakrishnan when he confronts the ghost of his dead brother Sankaran (both played by Jayasurya).
The director says that the story explores Sankaran’s relenltess love for his wife and also focuses on the lack of love in the life of his brother. Chandran says that there is an autobiographical element in the story, since the memories of his own brother, who had long passed away are still fresh in his mind.
Actors like Lalu Alex, Suraj Venjaramood, Sudheesh, Bijukuttan, Indrans, Kochupreman, Ambika, Rosilin and Sivaji Guruvayur offer support. Sankaranum Mohananum is being produced under the banner of Prakash Movietone and Ragam Movies.
