Submitted by on September 28, 2011 – 7:56 pmOne Comment | 51 views

Sathyan Anthikkad is perhaps one of the few Malayalam directors who has always commanded a guarantee audience for his films. The Sathyan magic is all set to work again, with his new film ‘Snehaveedu’ that has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas.

‘Snehaveedu’ has Mohanlal in the lead role. He plays Ajayan in the film, who has been busy working abroad for long. He now hopes to settle down for good, along with his mother Ammukkutty Amma (Sheela). Back home, he starts off some business, and is all jovial, until a boy arrives at his doorstep claiming to be his son!

Padmapriya has been cast opposite Mohanlal in the film. The supporting cast consists of several other actors like Biju Menon, Innocent, Mamukkoya, Ashokan, K. P. A. C. Lalitha, Rahul Pillai, Reeja, Chembil Ashokan, Lena, Urmila Unni, Arundathi, Sasi Kalinga and Appukutty.

Venu is in charge of cinematography. Rajagopal has done the editing. And the songs composed by Ilayaraja, are already a rage. Looks like ‘Snehaveedu’ that is fast being readied for a late September release, is gonna be a winner all the way. Here is wishing the entire team all the very best.
