Chithra Sings Again; Millions of Fans Relieved

Submitted by on July 8, 2011 – 8:40 amOne Comment |

K S Chithra, after a brief hiatus that followed her daughter’s unfortunate demise, sang a song again, thereby putting to rest the anxious minds of millions of her fans  across the world. The playback singer, who is easily one of the most adored and admired artistes in India, was being constantly requested by scores of music lovers to resume her singing.

Chithra sang a song the other day, that was composed by M G Sreekumar for the film ‘Ishtam + Sneham = Amma’. It was a lullaby written by Rajeev Alunkal, the lyrics of which went like this – “Amma ninne thamara kumbilil thenoottaanaayi vannidam, thennalaay cheru thottilaatti mathiyaavolam kandotte..”.

The composing was done at the Krishna Digi Design Studio at Vadapalani, Chennai. Its learned that Chithra would be singing more songs at her own studio. She would shortly lend her voice for a Tamil song that would be composed by Samson. Fervent fans have kept their fingers crossed, hoping that Chithra would be able to tide over her severe personal loss, and be back in the world of music, that would otherwise be incomplete without her magical voice.
