‘Thalaivaa’ audio release slated for Vijay’s birthday?

The audience that had assembled to watch the Grand finale event of Munch Junior Star Singer were in for a surprise, when veteran actor Jagathy Sreekumar, who was invited over to the stage to hand over the prizes, went hammer and tongs over Star Singer anchor Ranjini Haridas.

Jagathy severely criticized Ranjini for being much more than an anchor at the show, and said that a few show hosts were let loose by the channels.Mimicking Ranjini, Jagathy also said that the show hosts should merely do their jobs and not act as judges themselves. He was all praise for Nazria Nazim, the anchor of Munch Star singer, and said that she was never judgemental, which made her a good host.

A few days after the event, Ranjini herself has now retorted to the actor’s comments by saying that all this looks like a publicity ploy on the part of the actor.  She has also remarked that she had always had a great regard for the actor, which has been ruined beyond repair by the actor’s actions.

She says that she’s an Indian citizen and as a show anchor, has every right to say her opinion about the event.

Idea Star Singer judges M. G. Sreekumar and Sharath have come out in support of Ranjini and say that it was wrong on Jagathy’s part to have criticized Ranjini on an occasion as a grand finale event of a reality show. They say, the actor should have exercised much more restraint. Whatever be the case, the war of words seems to be getting hotter here.
