Aamir Khan gets close to 100,000 calls for Satyamev Jayate!

Perhaps this would be a record of sorts, but telephone service provider Airtel says that around 100,000 people tried ringing up Aamir Khan to converse with him on social issues, as the initial episode of his new show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ was being aired last Sunday on television!

Of these, only less than a dozen people actually got the opportunity to speak with the star himself. Aamir’s responses to the callers were much appreciated as well, and the show itself has been praised as one of the best reality shows that the country has ever witnessed.

Aamir Khan intend to tackle real social issues through the show, and in the first episode discussed an issue of grace concern, namely female infanticide. The show that would run for fifteen more episodes on Star Plus and Doordarshan is expected to deal with many more in the coming days.
