indrajith3 300x201 Appreciation for Nayakan arrived a bit late in the day: IndrajithIndrajith, who did the lead role in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Nayakan’ feels a bit disappointed that appreciation for the film arrived a bit late in the day. The film, that was critically acclaimed had failed to have a decent run at the box office, but the actor says people loved the film once the DVDs were out, and the film was shown on TV!

‘Nayakan’ was Lijo Jose’s debut film, and later the director gave us the delightful film ‘City of God’ as well. The film was written by P. S. Rafeeq and starred Thilakan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Dhanya Mary Varghese and Siddique in the supporting roles.

Indrajith however feels lucky that he is around at a time when film makers are willing to experiment with new faces. As an actor who has never been much concerned with the hero image, he has been experimenting with diverse roles lately. This year he has received much acclaim for his performance in the film ‘Ee Adutha Kaalathu’.
