Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ has inspired none other than Amitab Bachchan, who has stated that the film is Indian cinema itself , at it’s best. Big B wrote on his blog, “For one that has been born and lived a major portion of his life in almost similar environment, or at least exposed to it to some degree, I found so much that I could well relate to.”

Amitabh had very nice things to say about the lead actor of the film. “Manoj Bajpayee in particular, and of all the artists right down to the smallest in capacity and presence, has been beautifully done. No one looked or performed out of place. They just did enough and that was effective enough,” he wrote.

‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ features an ensemble cast including Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Richa Chadda in the lead roles. The film has been set in Wasseypur, Jharkhand, infamous for a battle between Faheem Khan and Sabir Alam over a scrap business. It was released last Friday in India.
