Distribution rights of Karthi’s ‘Saguni’ sold for 23 Crores!

Karthi has every reason to be happy. His latest film ‘Saguni’ has been in the making for some time, but the distribution rights of the film have been sold at an enormous price of near to twenty three crores! No wonder, since Karthi does command a loyal fan following that had made all his films super hits.

The first look of the film was duly released through a series of promotional posters in early 2011. The film has been mostly shot on locations in and around Chennai, including the Napier bridge, while the climax was shot in Hyderabad. A song was shot at Poland.

‘Saguni’ , the upcoming Tamil political drama film directed by Shankar Dayal features Karthi and Pranitha in the lead roles, while Santhanam, Roja, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Mumtaj and Nassar appear in supporting roles. Karthi’s last film was ‘Siruthai’ which released way back in January 2011.
