Director Anwar Rasheed who is currently busy calling the shots for his film ‘Usthad Hotel’ has high words of appreciation for his hero Dulquar Salman. The director says that Dulquar is an intelligent actor, and that his choice of films has impressed him a lot.

“If he wanted, Dulquar could have had a dream debut with some top director in Malayalam. But the fact that he decided to make a quiet debut with a newcomer director Sreenath Rajendran, talks of the fact, that the young man is downright sensible. I’m totally impressed,” says Anwar while interacting with a prominent Malayalam magazine.

‘Usthad Hotel’ has been scripted by Anyaly Menon, who had earlier directed the film ‘Manjaadikkuru’ and also the short film ‘Happy Journey’ in ‘Kerala Cafe’. The film talks of the warm relationship shared between an old man (played by Thilakan) and his grandson, set against the backdrop of a beach side restaurant.
