Emraan Hashmi feels ‘Shanghai’ would make a huge difference
He might be sporting a paunch in the film, and looking half as impressive as he usually does, but actor Emraan Hashmi does feel that his role in ‘Shanghai’ might make a whole lot of difference in his Bollywood career. The actor is glad that he had gone out of his way to see to it that he played the character exactly as director Dibakar Banerjee wanted it to be.
The actor had gained some weight for the role, and not just that, he had also turned a tad darker to look the role. And for those of you who really are dying to ask, the answer is No! Emraan wouldn’t be kissing in the film, since this role is way too different from anything else that he has done as yet.
‘Shanghai’, the Hindi political thriller film directed by Dibakar Banerjee stars Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Pitobash in the lead roles. The film is based on a book titled ‘Z’ by Vassilis Vassilikos, and is currently being readied up for a June 2012 release.
