Submitted by on June 1, 2012 – 1:52 pmNo Comment |

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan might be on cloud nine at the moment, what with his team Kolkata Knight Riders having won this season of the IPL, but looks like the King Khan is already on to another game! And its football that has caught the star’s fancy!

Reports have been pouring in that SRK has plans to invest in Indian football now, and that too with a fifty percent stake in the Dempo SC who have been I-league champions five times! Though nothing has been finalised as yet, talks have been going on, and we are likely to hear the official announcements soon.

Football fans have already welcome the news with great enthusiasm. It remains to be seen if other stars follow suit, and whatever be the case, the spotlight is bound to be on football for a while now. And we believe the sport deserves every bit of the attention that it has been getting. Better late than never, what say?
