Jail for fifteen days awaits John Abraham!

This Friday should have come as a shock to actor John Abrahan. A Mumbai sessions court rejected his plea challenging the ruling of a lower court, that had ordered him to imprisonment for fifteen days in jail, in a 2006 case of rash and negligent driving.

The incident allegedly happened way back on April 8, 2006, when John’s Yamaha Hayabusa bike rammed into a bicycle, injuring two youngsters, Shyam Kasbe and Tanmay Majhi on Carter Road in suburban Bandra. The actor, police revealed was returning from Maureen Wadia’s Gladrags.

A case was registered against John Abraham under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others). The actor its learned will appear for bail at 4.00 PM, but has been arrested and will remain in police custody till then.
