Mammootty to be ‘Mudiyanaya Puthran’

Mammootty, who has always encouraged fresh directors in Malayalam cinema has done it again. The actor has signed a film titled ‘Mudiyanaya Puthran’ to be directed by debutante G Marthandan.

Marthandan has worked as an associate director with Shafi, Anwar Rasheed and Lal, and his first film as an independent director would be scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam.

‘Mudiyanaya Puthran’ would be produced by Faizal Alappuzha under the banner of Achappu Films. Shooting of the film is expected to start by January 2013.
