Mammootty, has some very interesting projects coming up in the next few months, and one such film that he has signed up for is debutante director Shibu Gangadharan’s film ‘Praise the Lord’ that is based on the much acclaimed story by the same name, penned by Zacharia.

‘Praise the Lord’ is being scripted by T P Devarajan, and Mammootty would play a Pala planter by the name of Joy in the film. Joy, who lives up to his name, by enjoying the tiny joys in life, finds his entire life transformed when a couple walks into it.

‘Praise the Lord’ will be produced by Manoj Menon under the banner Reels Magic. Mammootty is likely to join the project once he is done with his current crop of projects including Anoop Kannan’s ‘Jawan of Vellimala’, Johny Antony’s ‘Thaappaana’ and G S Vijayan’s ‘Malabar’.
