Mammootty to play an ex-military man in ‘Jawan of Vellimala’

Mammootty would play an ex-military guy in Anoop Kannan’s directorial debut titled ‘Jawan of Vellimala’. The film would be set against the backdrop of a dam at a high range station called Vellimala. Mammootty would play a character by the name of Gopikrishnan in the film.

Sreenivasan would play a key role too; that of an employee at the dam named Varghese. Asif Ali would be seen in the role of a young man called Koshy Oommen who arrives at Vellimala with a definite intention in mind. Mamta Mohandas is the heroine, and she would play a dam project officer.

Anoop Kannan who has been working as an associate director to Lal Jose turns independent director with this project. James Albert has scripted the film, and the musical score would be composed by Bijibal. Satheesh Kurup will wield the camera. The film would be produced by Mammootty under the banner of Playhouse.
