Prithviraj to wield the pen in ‘Simhaasanam’

Prithviraj will play a journalist in Shaji Kailas’ new film ‘Simhasanam’. The film that is expected to be finished in a single schedule has started its shoot at locations near Ottappaalam.’Simhaasanam’ would be scripted by the director himself, and would be the first time Shaji scripts a film.

Reportedly, the film will be an action thriller that would be molded on the patterns of a regular Shaji Kailas film. It will have as its backdrop a story of family feuds and in addition to it will also be a satire. Earlier Prithvi and Shaji Kailas had come together for a movie which was dropped midway through.

The film will have two heroines – Aishwarya and Vandana. Saikumar. Siddique and Devan form the supporting cast. The film is expected to grace the screens by July 2012. Meanwhile Shaji Kailas’ latest film ‘The King and the Commissioner’ is running to packed houses in the state.
