Rani Mukherjee is an amazing costar: Prithviraj

Submitted by on April 16, 2012 – 3:19 pmNo Comment |

Prithviraj is awed by Rani Mukherjee, his costar in ‘Ayya’, and says that her attitude towards cinema has amazed him. Prithvi says Rani plays a character who speaks Hindi with a clear Marathi accent in the film, and that the actress learned the language just to make sure she gets her dialogues right.

Prithvi also says that Rani Mukherjee has also been instrumental in his bettering his Hindi. With Rani on the sets, it has always been a wonderful learning experience.  He remembers that Rani would be very much around, even if she didn’t have to shoot, just to see the shooting process.

‘Ayya’ is being produced by ace director Anurag Kashyap. The film is being directed by Sachin Kundalkar, the much acclaimed Marathi director. The film has been shot in and around locations at Mumbai and is reportedly a love story between a Marathi girl and a Tamil painter.
