Perhaps film makers in Malayalam are unanimous in their opinion, with regard to the actors who could be chosen to play a revolutionary on screen. And many of them feel that its Tamil actor Samuthirakani who fits the revolutionary bill perfectly well.

The actor had made his debut in Malayalam films through the Mohanlal starrer ‘Shikkar’ in which he had played a revolutionary to perfection. However, the tag somehow seems to have stuck, and Samuthirakani is the first choice still, when it comes to playing similar characters.

The Tamil actor would be essaying a similar role, that of a revolutionary in the upcoming film ‘The Bolivian Diary’ that has been directed by M Padmakumar and which also stars Asif Ali in a key role along with Ananya. The film is a part of the ‘D Company’ action anthology.
