The DFO report lands Mohanlal in trouble
The Divisional Forest Officer B N Nagaraju has reportedly stated in an affidavit before the First Class Magistrate Court at Malayattoor, that Mohanlal did not possess any certificate of ownership of the ivory that was seized by the Income Tax officials from his residence during the IT raids held a few months back.
Mohanlal had however denied that the ivory was his and had stated that it was merely left in his safe custody by the owners P N Krishnakumar and N krishnakumar, who were abroad.
The Forest officials have informed the court that Mohanlal had violated the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. The case has reportedly been registered under Section 44 (6).
