‘Karikalan’, Vikram’s film the shoot of which is twenty five percent complete, might go for a change in its director! If reports that have been pouring in are true, the reigns of the film that has been directed by Kannan till now, might be handed over to Gandhi Krishna, who had earlier directed films like ‘Ananda Tandavam’, ‘Chellamae’ and ‘Nila Kaalam’.

The film is a bilingual which will be released in Telugu as well, as ‘Veerudu’. Katrina Kaif was initially approached to do the female lead opposite Vikram, but later Zarine Khan was selected. Pasupathy, Shanmugarajan and Anjali were also revealed to be a part of the film.

The first schedule saw portions of the film being shot in Talakona, at Andhra Pradesh. The film would make use of state-of-the-art graphics to ensure that the end product is technically top notch.
