What has happened to Jayasurya’s ‘Pigman’?

Submitted by on July 4, 2012 – 8:57 pmNo Comment |

Film lovers in the state were quite excited when Jayasurya signed ‘Pigman’, a film that was to be directed by Avira Rebecca and written by N Prabhakaran based on his own short story of the same name. The film had raised much expectations, since it told the story of a research scholar ending up at a pig farm, after his thesis gets rejected.

The shoot of the film was held in December 2011, and not much has been heard of it later. Jayasurya has acted in several films after ‘Pigman’, including ‘Husbands in Goa’ and ‘Vaadhyar’, and the question arose as to what has happened to ‘Pigman’ that was almost complete.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the film requires three more days of shooting to be complete. However, due to some issues the shoot has been stalled. It would be shame however, if a film like ‘Pigman’ never makes it to the screens. We hope that whatever the issues may be, they will be quickly resolved so that ‘Pigman’ graces the screens pretty soon.
