Will Ram Charan do a Big B in the ‘Zanjeer’ Remake?

Submitted by on March 4, 2012 – 11:53 amNo Comment | 565 views

Director Apoorva Lakhia who has been planning to remake Amitabh Bachchan’s block buster film ‘Zanjeer’ is thinking of casting Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi’s son as the male lead, if reports are to be believed! Not only that, the film would mostly be a bilingual that would be shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.

Ram Charan, who had made his debut as an actor with the film ‘Chirutha’ in 2007, had gone on to star in one of the biggest hits of all time in Telugu, ‘Magadheera’ in 2009. He is currently shooting for the Telugu film ‘Rachaa’ that is being directed by Sampath Nandi.

Deepika Padukone would in all probability be cast in the role of Jaya Bhaduri in the original.

Would ‘Zanjeer’ mark the gala entry of Ram Charan into the big world of Bollywood, where many South Indian actors had tried their fortune, with little luck? Only time could tell.
