5 Facts you should know about Ileana D’Cruz!

Ileana D’Cruz who has been creating waves in the Telugu film industry had recently made her entry in Tamil films as well. With ‘Barfi!’, Ileana is all set to make her grand gala debut in Bollywood. As the pretty young actress gets set to rule, here are five facts about her that you should not miss out on!

1. Ileana debuted in Y. V. S. Chowdhary’s 2006 Telugu film Devadasu. She went on to become one of Telugu cinema’s leading actresses, by appearing in several commercially successful ventures such as Pokiri (2006), Jalsa (2008) and Kick (2009) .

2.Ileana made her Kollywood debut earlier in 2006 with the film ‘Kedi’. However, she made a comeback of sorts with Shankar’s ‘Nanban’.

3. Ileana was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra as the second child to her parents Ronaldo and Samira. She has three siblings; older sister Farrah, younger brother Rhys and youngest sister Eileen.

4. She started off with modelling and her second portfolio reportedly made her the lead model of three advertisements from Electrolux, Emami Talc and Fair and Lovely.

5. She was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for ‘Devadasu’ (2006), the  Santosham Best Actress Award for ‘Jalsa’ (2008) and the South Scope Style Award for Best Actress for ‘Jalsa’ (2008).
