Alphonsa in a critical state following suicide attempt
Item dancer Alphonsa who had made her appearance in films like ‘Narasimham’ has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai, following a suicide attempt. Her condition has been reported to be extremely critical.
The actress was staying with her lover in Chennai, and he had committed suicide a few days back. Alphonsa is said to have gone into a depressed state of mind, following his demise. She was found in an unconscious state, after having consumed too many sleeping pills the other day.
Alphonsa has been admitted to Vijaya Hospital at Vada palani. She had tried hard to make a successful career in films, but had failed to leave a mark. Of late, she hasn’t been seen in many films either, and was leading a quite life with Vinod Kumar. Its not clear as to what had actually transpired between the two, but its believed that Alphonsa had decided to end everything, since Vinod had done the same.
Update: The actress’s condition has been reported to have turned stable, and she is reportedly under observation.
