Bollywood beckons Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Submitted by on March 31, 2012 – 3:24 pmOne Comment |

Samantha Ruth Prabhu should be one happy girl for sure. As Sonam Kapoor, who was supposed to do the lead role in Gautham Menon’s Hindi film ‘Assi Nabey Poore Sau’ opted out, the role has gone to Samantha! With Bollywood beckoning, the much in demand young actress moves up North to try her luck in Hindi films.

It should be remembered that Samantha made her debut in films through the film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’, that was directed by Gautham Menon. She was even expected to make her Bollywood debut through ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’, which was a remake of the Tamil film ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’. However it was Amy Jackson who finally got to do the role.

She is currently busy shooting for Mani Ratnam’s new Tamil film ‘Kadal’ that coincidentally was another film that Sonam Kapoor was expected to be a part of. Looks like Sonam’s losses are Samantha’s gains. Will the charming actress be a winner in Bollywood? Only time will be able to tell!
