No plans to shift base to Bollywood: Prithviraj

Samvrutha Sunil, who is easily one of the busiest actresses in Malayalam these days, feels that her new film ‘Diamond Necklace’ that has been directed by Lal Jose, has helped her shed her Mallu girl image. Samrvutha, who was introduced to films by Lal Jose himself through ‘Rasikan’ has often been seen as the girl-next-door in Malayalam films.

Samrvutha plays a character by the name of Maya in ‘Diamond Necklace’, who is an extremely modern girl in Dubai. The actress says that this is a role that offered her tremendous scope to perform, and that its a far cry from any other role that she had done till date. Fahad Fazil is her co-star in the film.

Samvrutha has been paired with Dileep in the Shyamaprasad film ‘Arike’, which she thinks is a complex character. There is also the bubbly girl that she gets to play in Vysakh’s ‘Mallu Singh’, that would see her opposite Unni Mukundan. The actress who is planning to get married in November, would fly to the US with hubby Akhil, and would bid farewell films, at least for a while.
