Happy Birthday, Lakshmi Rai!

Come May 5, and Lakshmi Rai celebrates her birthday. Lakshmi Rai is one of the busiest actresses that we have in South India these days, and the lovely actress has some plum projects lined up her sleeve that would make it to the screens in the coming days!

She rose to fame with the popular Malayalam-language films Annan Thambi (2008), 2 Harihar Nagar (2009), Chattambinadu (2009), Evidam Swargamanu (2009) and Arabiyum, Ottakavum, P. Madhavan Nairum (2011), establishing herself in the Malayalam film industry.

Lakshmi hails from Karnataka, and has been working as a model before she entered the film industry. While most of her Tamil releases performed poorly at the box office with the exception of Mankatha which was whopping success,running for over a 100 days.
