Is Anushka Sharma the next big thing in Bollywood?

Submitted by on April 23, 2012 – 11:50 amNo Comment |

Looks like Anushka Sharma has hit it real big in Bollywood. The actress who stormed the Bollywood scene in 2008, when she was signed by Aditya Chopra for a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films, made her screen debut in Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Anushka’s new film ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, stars Imran Khan and Jugal Hansraj along with her, and her performance in the film is being touted as the very best. She is also currently busy shooting for another biggie with Shahrukh Khan – Yash Chopra’s as yet untitled film – which should be out in November 2012.

Anushkha has also signed up for another film, ‘Bombay Velvet’, Anurag Kashyap’s new film that would have her sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor. Anushka seems to be on the lookout for roles of substance, and with these three films that she has already started working for, she could very well be the next big thing in Bollywood.
