Karthika says ‘No’ to Vishal film ‘MGR’?

Submitted by on May 31, 2012 – 7:56 pmNo Comment |

Director Sundar C, who was all set to start shooting for his new film ‘MGR’ (short for ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ that would feature Vishal in the lead role, has been told that Karthika Nair, who was supposed to play the female lead, would no longer be a part of the film.

The reason, sources say, is that the script had undergone a tremendous change, and in the new circumstances, Karthika didn’t believe that she had anything worth while to do in the film. Also the film would have two heroines now, which hasn’t been much appreciated by the actress.

Radha, Karthika’s mother and former actress, has however clarified that Karthika had to walk out of the film because the shoot of the film has been considerably postponed already and now it would be quite difficult for Karthika to adjust her dates. The search is already on for a new heroine for ‘MGR’.
