M A Nishad lodges a complaint against Padmapriya!

Director M A Nishad, whose latest film ‘No.66 Madhura Bus’ has recently been released, is not too happy with the ways of the heroine of his film, Padmapriya. Nishad has gone ahead and lodged a complaint against the actress with the Producers’ Association.

Nishad has reportedly alleged that Padmapriya had agreed to act in his film for a remuneration of eight lakhs, but had later raised it to ten lakhs after her manager had walked into the picture. He also says that he had paid 9.30 lakhs during the shoot, and that the actress had refused to shoot until he paid the entire amount. She had also allegedly refused to be a part of the promotional campaign of the film.

Nishad wonders why these actresses should have managers, when even leading stars like Mammootty, Mohanlal and Prithviraj have no managers. ‘No.66 Madhura Bus’ also stars Pasupathy, Makarand Deshpande, Swetha Menon and Mallika in key roles.
