Submitted by on May 28, 2012 – 2:12 pmNo Comment | 566 views

Uthara Unni, who would soon be making her debut in Malayalam films with the movie ‘Edavapathi’ says that her mother is her role model. For our readers who have come in a bit late, Uthara happens to be the daughter of renowned character artiste Urmila Unni.

Uthara Unni would be seen along with Siddharth Lama in the film that would be directed by Lenin Rajendran. Manisha Koirala would be seen in a key role in the film as well, that would be her second Malayalam film, after Shyamaprasad’s as yet unreleased film ‘Electra’.

Uthara also says that its an honour for her to be introduced to the Malayalam film industry by a legendary film maker like Lenin Rajendran. She is also very confident of performing well in a role that she feels is quite complex. She hopes that the Malayali audience would accept her just as they had accepted Urmila Unni as well as her sister Samyuktha Verma.
