Ranjini Haridas would love to dub for herself in debut film
Television anchor Ranjini Haridas is all set to make a gala entry into the world of films. As our readers might already know, Ranjini has signed a film titled ‘Entry’ that is being directed by Rajesh Amanakara.
Ranjini plays a lady cop in the film, and the most in-demand anchor in the state recently revealed that she would love to dub for herself in her debut film. Ranjini was reportedly asked if there wouldn’t be criticism if she did not get her pronunciation correct. She is apparently not perturbed at all, and says that she would very confidently deal with it.
The reason perhaps for Ranjini being asked this question is because her Malayalam pronunciation has come under the public scanner repeatedly. It should be granted to her, that she has made tremendous efforts to improve her accent as well as pronunciation, though she herself accepts that her Malayalam is far from perfect. But yes, there is no denying the fact that there is a charm to the Ranjini speech, and it would definitely be better if we get to hear her voice on screen as well.

Bhaaaa ! Ithokke angane sahikkum ?
Although I am not a supporter of this lady….but feel she should HERSELF dub for the film…women like Ranjini are part of the urban Malayalee population and they are Keralites with equal rights, no lesser….even if purists, moral police, and languists may not appreciate her diction or the lady doesn’t care….Showing people in present day Kerala society is nothing wrong….nevertheless Ranjini should make an attempt to correct her pronunciation wherever reasonable rather than rejecting critics….hope she is doing so…
