Rekha accepts Rajya Sabha nomination!
Bollywood diva Rekha has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha along with Sachin Tendulkar, and the actress has accepted the nomination according to news reports! Personalities who have made valuable contributions to the fields of literature, science, art and social service could be nominated according to Article 80 of the Constitution.
Rekha, is one of the most popular heroines that Bollywood had ever produced, and still enjoys an enviable fan base in the Hindi film industry. She has always been known to be an actress who has gracefully aged, and is often considered the style icon of eighties!
Tendulkar too is reported to have accepted the nomination. Earlier in the day, the cricket legend had visited Congress President Sonia Gandhi, along with his wife Anjaly. Rekha and Sachin are two among the four persons who have been nominated, and we are yet to know who the other two are.
