‘Chandra’ is an upcoming ffantasy film which is a bilingual that is simultaneously being shot in Kannada and Tami. This film has been directed by Roopa Iyer and features  Shriya Saran and Prem Kumar in the lead roles.  The film deals with the life of a last generation princess and would tell her love story.

From the stills of the film that have been released by the makers, Shriya Saran looks bewitching, to say the least. The actress is said to have grabbed a meaty role in the film that would have her performing the martial art of Kalaripayattu as well.

It has been reported that actress Remya was initially considered for the role, but was later replaced. Several other prominent actresses like Dia Mirza, Amala Paul, Amrita Rao and Aindrita Ray were considered, before the makers zeroed in on Shriya Saran.
