Submitted by on July 8, 2012 – 10:38 pmNo Comment |

There was a whole lot of hue and cry the other day, when Urvasi had appeared at the Family Court to take custody of her daughter Kunjatta, after which Manoj K Jayan had revealed to the media that Urvasi was an alcoholic, and that it was impossible to hand over Kunjatta to her.

However, Urvasi has now issued a clarification that she was not drunk that day, and that she was in an intoxicated condition because of the heavy dosage of medicines that she had had, following a surgery. She added that there could never be a substitute for a mother and requested that Kunjatta be allowed to stay with her.

She requested that her daughter be not dragged into this entire controversy, and stated that she was much concerned about her daughter’s future. Urvasi was interacting with a daily when she made the revelation.
