Veena Malik receives a whopping 71000 Vivaah proposals!
Pak actress Veena Mailk does have a flair for remaining in the news round the clock. First it was her dare bare act that got her into the news, and later she followed it up with a disappearance act that made news headlines for a couple of days. And now, she’s back with a ‘Vivaah’.
‘Veena Ka Vivaah’, the reality marriage show on Imagine TV, would feature the actress selecting a bride groom for real. In fact, Veena would be getting married on television, if things go well. The channel had invited proposals from propsective and interested bride grooms, and reports claim that around 71,000 proposals have been received so far. Reportedly Veena will bag Rs 3 cr for being on the show and an additional Rs 1.5cr if she gets married.
The celebrities who had taken part in the earlier seasons of the show had not managed to draw such enthusiasm, going by the number of applicants – Rakhi Sawant (30,000), Rahul Mahajan (43,000) and Ratan Rajput (54,000). Apart from applicants from India, Paksitan, US and the UK, it has been reported that there are hopeful grooms from even Poland. Veena has however chosen the top 40 contestants from among the 116 selected by the channel. And she plans to go ahead with coming up with the final 16 list soon.
