Those of you who had seen the film ‘Vellinakshatram’ would still remember the adorable young girl who was seen in the film along with Prithviraj in it. Taruni was one among the thirteen people who had died in the air crash yesterday at Nepal.

Her mother Geetha Sachdev also passed away. They were travelling from Pokhara to Jomsom when the plane crashed at around 9:30 in the morning local time, as it hit a hill top while trying to land at the Jomsom airpot. The plane belonging to Agni Air had 21 people on board including three crew members.

Taruni had also made a cameo in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Paa’. Besides, she has appeared in numerous South Indian films as a child artiste, and has remained the face of Rasna for years.

RIP, Taruni Sachdev. Balcony Beats offers condolences to the near and dear of the departed.
